Clean Energy Coalition Natural Gas Forum

La Crosse, WI— A three‐speaker panel will be presenting on the topic: “The Role of Compressed Natural Gas in the Next Generation of our Vehicle Fleet” at a forum hosted by the Clean Energy Coalition Thursday, November 19th from 7:00–9:00 PM at the Three Rivers School, located at 901 Caledonia Street. The forum will be free and open to the public.

The focus of the forum will be natural gas, and its possible role as a “bridge fuel,” a clean energy alternative for powering our vehicles until newer and even more environmentally friendly options
    become available.

The forum will consist of a lecture followed by Q&A, and will be presented by Chris Schneider, Hybrid Guru, and Tom Schee, Environmentologist, both of Honda Motorwërks. Counterpoints will be presented by Jim Poehling, Professional Engineer at First Supply.

    Topics will include:

    • An overview of existing technologies that allow compressed natural gas to be a practical fuel for America’s vehicle fleets

    • The availability of natural gas on the North American continent

    • Strategies for how natural gas, combined with wind energy, can help replace dirty fuels such as coal

People concerned about air pollution from coal‐fired electric energy sources, those who are interested in what our next generation of vehicles will look like, and those who just want to learn more about ways to protect the environment are encouraged to attend.
